For Chase 14, a strong safety culture is more than being “your brother or sister’s keeper” or “zero incidents”. It’s about valuing the safety of our employees above all else. It’s about each employee valuing their safety and that of their coworkers above all else. This isn’t just an exercise in paper; it is seen throughout our operations at every level, every day.
We are all Responsible
We believe that safety incidents reflect the domino effect of transferred responsibility; this is why we dedicate ourselves to building safety into the entire cycle, from job planning, to observation, coaching, policy development, training and more. Anyone can cause an accident. Anyone can prevent an accident! If our employees don’t report issues, then we know we don’t have an engaged safety culture. We can always do better!
